Fever Ray
|
One of my guilty pleasures is “The Knife” Good Swedish fun. This is Karin Dreijer Andersson’s solo project. This is a Knife side project essentially. Honestly it sounds like B-sides from the Knife’s Silent Shout LP. This is a more down tempo and chilled out lp over all.
Think bjork with a stranger voice and an almost banshee like cry. That is what her voice reminds me of. I really like it when I am in the mood for it. Emotive vocals for sure they have a lot of character. This is what I listen to when I want to relax lately. Krztov turned me onto this.
My favorite song is When I Grow Up. Other tracks that are notable are Seven, and If I had a heart. They use a lot of 80s style sounds. Lots of 808 like drum machine rhythms in a down tempo spaced out vibe. Very electronic for sure but don’t be fooled, this is no dance LP. .
I give this an 07 out of 10. If you want something new and different that is mellow and really musical, Go buy this. Click here to buy Fever Ray mp3 256 from amazon.
