This is one of my favorite 3rd gen industrial ebm bands. Especially this LP. It’s so aggressive, acidic, dance friendly, mean, angry and just evil sounding. I miss the old days when industrial music still had its rage and good sound quality. Not this cold thin daw sound.
I love the over driven sound of this LP, the drums, the synth noises. They sound like they are crawling out of the speakers trying to strangle you and sway you to the mechanic rhythms that sound like a broken industrial malfunctioning machine. I prefer Numb to Front line. That is really saying something.
My favorite song on this LP is Blind. I think it just seethes with the kind of anger and disdain that relate to best. The synth programming on this LP is amazing. I would love to know what gear he used. I bet a future retro 777. My second favorite song is Desire. They used to play this in the clubs ages ago and it would even make me dance which is a rare thing. Stalker is also really amazing, love the slower mechanical groove in that one. The whole LP stays at a high level. I don’t skip many tracks on this lp. .
I give this an 08 out of 10. Very cool industrial dance record that is really unknown and overlooked by the scene. This is worth every penny go buy it.Click here to buy Ananda Shake: Inside the Sound mp3 256 from amazon.

hi bryan. nice review of a great cd, too bad Numb has long ceased to exist.
the future retro 777 came out in 98, but this cd is from 97, so i guess they must have used something different.
all the best
