I have recently discovered this band. I can’t get over how much I like it. I bought this lp on a whim, and I listen to a lot. The over all vibe of this band is like a prog rock wave act. I think Radiohead meets Bjork meets The Legendary Pink Dots meets The White Stripes. That is what this sounds like to me.

I like their complex melodic lines. The strange lyrics and vocal style. This music is very psychedelic. It sounds old like the 60s and 70s on some songs. Reminding me of old pink floyd with sid barret. The sound production is great, sounds very analog, I bet they used analog tape like the white stripes do. Has this really cool organic real sound to it.

My favorite song on this LP is “Hated Because of Great Qualities”. This song reminds me of portishead a little as well. The slow sultry intelligent lyrics and melody sway in this cool way that reminds me of an old beat nick club or something.

Other favorite tracks are In Particular, This Is Not, Loved Despite of Great Faults, For the Damaged Coda. I prefer the songs with female vocals. The male vocals are ok, but not as spectacular as the female ones. I give this a 7 out of 10. Click here to buy this on mp3 over at Amazon.
