This is one of my favorite kung fu films. As yo may have realized, I am a huge fan of martial arts, from the brutal, to the pretty this movie has both. Some of the best fight scenes ever in film. Yes, this is a remake of an old Bruce Lee movie fist of fury. The story progression is a lot like a video game with boss battles. Call me corny, I don’t care, I really love the wire work and stuff like that in a lot of these films. This is like fighting ballet.
Jet Li’s character finds out his master has been murder, then there is hell to pay. Brilliant. Go rent this, hell, I own it..
one of my all time favorites. 5 out of 5!

Opening words: I have been a UFC fan from the very old days of the organization. Yes, I watch the ultimate fighter tv show, yes i try and see every pay per view even venturing into sports bars to watch it. I love the martial arts. Not a fan of boxing, more of a fan of real fighting, and this is the closest thing there is to it. The game? read on.
Single Player: 8.2
Pretty damn good. There is a create a fighter mode. Let’s you play through the career of your fighter. It’s deep for a fighter, you get to choose 1 of 3 fighting styles, and 1 of 3 grappling styles. You have to manage the schedule, accept fights, train(this is where it is like an rpg, you train and unlock points, so you spar, the better you do, the more points you unlock, then you get to select the attributes you wish to improve or specialize it). Also, there are special training matches that will alow you to unlock moves, and this is a game in itself. Fighting in this is hard if you play on any level really, especially if you suck at fighting games. I am good at fighting games, and I struggled, because there are so many moves, so many ways to fight. Brawling alone will only get you so far in this game. This kicks the crap out of tekken, and smack down. It’s kind of like a hybrid of both.

Audio: 7.8
This is tricky. The game only has like 4 songs. So you hear the same damn over aggro jock rock over and over again and again, I turned it off. Man. The ring announcer is spot on, and the play by play calls by Joe and Mike are really really well done, the best in all of sporting games to date that I have played, so I had to give it a decent score for that. The sounds they make when the fight are good as well.

Game Mechanics: 8.1:
Decent, although what I could really notice was weird latency in the responsiveness at certain times in fights, kind of unpredictable as well. This some times throws off trying to do combos. The grappling, striking, and clutching are really well done, and easy to do once you figure it all out. There is a training mode, and this is a must. In fact, I had to come back to it a few times when I was in the season mode getting my butt kicked and not knowing how to defend submissions. Even with it’s latency issues, I still really enjoyed the game. What I really like about this game above all other fighting games is how much more realistic it is than others. Yes, the punchers chance is very real in this. If you do not cover up and block and evade, if they throw a bomb, and it hits you in the jaw, LIGHTS OUT, could happen on the first punch, or the 5th, or the 80th. you get the picture. Some times bouts are really short, and that is what makes this so cool. You can be getting your ass handed to you, then out of no where, BAM, lucky shot, you win. So cool. The game can be a chess match, or a brawling war with wild punches galore, you choose.

Multiplayer: 8.5
This is pretty good if you have a good connection to the internet. If you do, and the person you are playing with does as well, it is fantastic. If either party has a bad connection, this really sucks. Also, another thing I ran into was people turning their machines off right after you win, then it doesn’t give you credit for the win. This sucks, because there is a ranking system for the online play, if you care about rank, this is a big deal. Cheaters ruin the game in this regard. Playing a friend was a little confusing at first, then I figured it out, ps3 still sucks in this regard. Being able to play with your player created characters online is so cool, I remember listening to people laugh when I played with my “BIG NASTY: WHOOPASS JONES” fighter I made, who had a huge head nose and ears and a big afro. AWESOME! He kicks major butt too. LOL.
Replay:9.0
The multiplayer and playing with friends makes this a keeper in my library.

Total Score: 8.0 out of 10:
If you are a casual fighting game player, there is something here for you, but I would say download the demo first to see if you like it, but keep in mind, this is no regular fighter, it is a damn RPG in the single player create a fighter mode. If you are a die hard ufc fan like I am, this is a must buy, I even pre ordered this game. I totally dig it, now if only krztov would buy it… damn it.

WOW, I took down my socom review ages ago. Let me just say a few things. The game has bugs, it’s not perfect, the game lacks a lot of things that were on the box that it came with. Seriously, many of the things they advertised on the box were never added and this made me protest by not promoting the game, because basically if you bought it with out the head set, you paid 40 bucks for a beta. If like me, you bought it with the head set, you paid 50 for the headset and 10 for the BETA. It is still a beta as far as I am concerned. this is one thing sony should not of ever let a company get away with. So when they add all the things into the game, and fix the millions of bugs that can be seen here Click here, and watch from page for to page 1, there are a ton of bugs, seriously. I will post a review then. Despite all of the bugs and problem with this game, I simply love it. It is my favorite shooter of all time now. Slow pace, when you die you have to wait for the round to be over to play again, so you have to think to get a good score. It’s more strategic, and team communication is the difference between being good, and completely sucking ass. So you learn the maps, the names of areas, and call out enemies when you see them, pay attention to where you teammates die etc etc. Once you get used to the aiming, find a gun class that works for you, and tweaking the armor, it is serious fun when you have a clan, like the tox clan i am in for toxic coma, disband the vac clan cause no one but krztov and i play. Any how, the above video, it really shows something amazing for socom. Yes a planning room and launching in with buddies, how this works in the end, well, we will see, every patch they put out creates more bugs while fixing old ones. LOL any how. Home is getting cooler and cooler, now I have a real reason to go into home. SOCOM.
Why is sony losing this console war? Because they do not advertise like this did back in that day with the ps2, I would see ps2 adds all the time. Ps3 ads? yeah right, its a miracle if you see one. 360 adds? every where. Sony is really dropping the ball on advertising. the good old days:
Where the fuck are the ads for ps3? There were tons and tons for ps2??? SONY WAKE THE FUCK UP!!!!!!!!!!!
